My Master Trader Mentors – Daily Online Chat

active trader trading chat rooms

 by Das Brain

As someone who only have been very actively trading for the last 7-8 months, it is nice to be able to chat online with veteran traders, and get feedback and answer questions about timing trades and trading strategies. The two professional turned home traders I am talking about have well over 10 years experience each actively trading from home each and every day and they have turned out very successful.

Big Mac (not his real name) was someone that I was introduced to over 7 years ago on a golf course. Big Mac was a friend of a good friend of mine and that day after we had a fun time golfing, my good friend turned to me and asked, “do you know how much that guy is worth?” I replied “No, not really.” My good friend said “Big Mac’s networth is well over 12 Million dollars.” Then my good friend proceeded to tell me, about Big Mac’s history, which was that he left a job as a professional trader for a well known Canadian financial and began trading for himself from home.

Since then Big Mac and I have played more golf and became friends, I always knew he was a full-time active trader but did not pick his brain until I started actively trading recently. He’s a good guy and when I did contact him, about showing me the ropes of active trading, he did not hesistate to offer input.

I’ve been online every trading day morning with Big Mac and one other master trader FastWing (not real name) for the last 4 months, and it has been very helpful. These guys have been doing this as a living, and to have them provide their input is priceless. The rule of the chat is that if you place a trade you have to post it in the chat within 5 minutes. This way everyone can see your trade and analyse it. This way the mentors can provide feedback, and I can learn from their experience.

Some other very important pointers I learn from these guys is the psychology of trading, which is very important, this vocation is psychologically intensive. Both Big Mac and FastWing have pretty much felt all the aches and pains that comes from the first few years of actively trading full-time, so when I perform a bad trade these guys tell me how to handle it psychologically which is very good.

One fact that all of us in the chat room realize is that every trader has their own trading style, and what works for me may not work for the two master traders (Big Mac & FastWing).
However, I realize that they must be doing something right if they have been at it for over 10 years and doing very well, so I take their advice seriously.

I’m very fortunate, because when I first started actively trading I searched online, and there were chat forums with well known traders that charge $30 or more a month for this service.
On top of that you are not the only grasshopper that is learning from these master professionals, so they cannot really focus on one person too long. They probably have hundreds of people signed into the chat and it would difficult to get your questions answered.

I was lucky to have known Big Mac and benefit from his trading experience. If you just started actively trading, I suggest to either form or join a chat group where there is one person at least that have been actively trading for more than 3 years and has the numbers to show for it. It will be a great benefit to improving your trading skills.
