Canada’s Future Military Threat From Artic (Russian) and South of Border (U.S.A)

Russian attack Canada, USA attack Canada future outlook
With the northern arctic ice melting scientist has projected by year 2030 all ice will disappear. This essentially will open up the arctic waters for ships from all countries to cross. This brings a whole new set of defense problems for all northern countries such as Canada, Netherlands, Russia and others.

In terms of military threat to Canada, well Russia poses the most threat at this point. First Russia historically has been an external seeking conqueror going back into history they have invaded Poland and have encroached upon some Japanese northern islands. All European countries are weary of Russia.

You will also have to note that the Russian military is extremely brutal as proven during the 2nd World War, and we Canadians wouldn’t want them as our overlords.

Why is the Russian one of the biggest threats to Canada?

Factors:
1. World Oil / Energy Supply Is Shrinking (oil lubricates all world economies)
2. Russia is geographically very close to Canada. Just across the pond once ice melts.
3. Russia has the military strength to seek to conquer externally.
4. Canada is resource rich (oil, livable land, fresh water, agriculture)
5. The decline of the U.S empire, means Canada will not be protected in the future.

The main factor though is energy and Russia has already begun setting up military base in the northern arctic and started surveying for oil, natural gas trapped in ice. Russia has on many occasions breach Canadian arctic air space with spy planes and been chased off…so it has already begun.

Also Russian spy networks have been operating both in the U.S and Canada for decades now.

This is the reason why Canada’s prime minister Steven Harper has been flexing some muscle in the northern arctic.

The next military threat that most Canadians have not thought about is The United States. What? No Way, but they are our ally. Well, the alliance will easily break once the United States get into deep trouble which is already happening. The U.S deficit is 14.3 Trillion, they need to get further into debt by printing money, which will eventually collapse the U.S dollar and when all else fails they will go to war to grab as much resource else where to survive.

Why is the U.S.A one of the biggest future threats to Canada?

Factors:
1. America is running out of oil. They just open up some reserve oil to use.
2. Currently at war in Libya to acquire more oil, when that runs out they have to look else where.
3. The U.S is in deep economic trouble, debt growing printing more money.
4. Currency is collapsing. (lookup Weimar Germany for historic comparison)
5. When all else fails go to war, attack neighbors (Canada) for resources (lookup WWII Germany takes over Austria for historic comparison)
6. U.S.A has the larget military in the world.
7. Geographically very close.
8. Canada is resource rich (oil, livable land, fresh water, agriculture)

The same thing that happened to Germany just before World War II is happening now to the United States, so it is just a matter of time before something bad is going to happen and it may take 10 years from now to play out.

China will not be a direct military threat to Canada. First of all China is too far and doesn’t have direct ocean access even once arctic ice melts and also China historically has not seek to conquer its neighboring countries.

The Chinese are only interested in developing its country economically and protecting invasion from foreigners and it won’t likely to change in the next decade…unless provoked.

The above is just my analysis of the next twenty years, whether I am right or not…well I don’t know, but it is one possibility among several that can happen.
