Healthy Home Made Pizza

A few nights ago, my wife and I made a healthy home made pizza. We usually do this once a week and we like to put healthy ingredients on it like freshly sliced and diced red peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes, brocolli and ground soya or sliced chicken breast.

The ingredients:

tomato sauce, ground soya, mushrooms, red & yellow peppers, brocolli, havarti cheese and crust

My wife only eats chicken and fish, no pork or beef. So that is why there is no pepperoni. Regardless the finish product is always tasty. As for the cheese, the best part of making your own pizza is that you have control over what type of cheese you want on it. We like havarti the best, but we also use swiss, mozarella at other times.

Go ahead and try this yourself, you can buy the $3.99 pizza crust (2 per package) from the supermarket which is what we do to save time. It takes only fifteen minutes maximum to prep the ingredients and splash them on the pizza. Another advantage is the savings of course and the pride of making a tasty home made pizza yourself. The whole pizza only cost approximately $5 to make, which serves about 3 people.
