I have been having problems lately with Technorati’s service. I’m sure this is nothing new as when I searched the web to see if other people are having the same issues, sure enough they are.
So far I still cannot claim my blog, it’s been 2 weeks and the bloody feature still does not work somehow. I get the following message over and over again.
“There was a problem claiming your blog. Please try again in a few minutes. You can also go to Technorati Help for help claiming your blog.”
Next is the fact that after you have ping them, your blog still doesn’t show up for days. Some bloggers out there mentioned that there blogs don’t show up for weeks, man that is very frustrating when you are trying to do some promoting.
The last issue has to do with their search results or lack thereof. It is not very intuitive, sometimes it doesn’t understand keywords surrounded by quotes. It makes it difficult to refine your search terms. The search seems a bit primitive in my books. Also, when it does find pages of pages of results and you try to go to the next page it will sometime come up with an error (below).

And you can recreate this problem, so it is not a one time thing. My last gripe is that paginating from one page of search results to the next is very slow.
There are quite a lot of bloggers out there that are not happy with Technorati right now, including one pretty famous one “Shoemaker” of shoemoney.com, he blogged about it and boy was he pissed.
Anyway, I hope the people at Technorati is doing something about it. We’ll see I guess.
