Things To Think About Before Starting An Internet Business

by Das Brain

Before I start detailing each way of making money from the internet as listed in my previous post, I would first like say that it is hard work and definitely not a get rich quick scheme. It is more like the more time and effort you put into it, the more you can potentially make.

If you think about the process of finding, drilling and then pumping oil out of the ground, starting an internet business is very much the same. You have to do all the research, then build the website or blog, then market it properly to people and seach engines the business pretty much makes money for you while you sleep. Just like a oil rig. Once you build the System you let it run. It is called passive income and it is the best kind of income.

Start up cost can be very little or alot depending on which method you are going for and how you plan to market the business. For me marketing certain websites was the most costly part, until I figure out cheaper and more effective ways of marketing. I will share more of this experience with you later.

It took me 2 years so far to get to this point and I what I mean by “this point” is about $120 USD a month give or take $20 in ad revenues (adsense & domain parking), it fluctuates and on a yearly basis about $30-50 USD in affilliate commissions. I make more money trading stocks and options, but that is active income, not passive. Some of you out there, who have been very successful at this might laugh at this, but remember this was all done in my spare time and I didn’t have a whole lot of it. As well, it was done with little marketing.

January Google Adsense Revenue

In the last week, a had a hell of a lot more time to work on and market my internet business as I don’t work full-time anymore and I already have noticed an improvement in my daily revenue. I plan to keep working on it deligently until I find another job (slave to corporation) at which time I will have to work on my internet business part time again.

In conclusion, to be successful at the internet business it will require a lot of time and effort for the first while to set up the sites, and then maintenance and marketing here and there. It is just like any other business the more time and thought you put into it there more you can potentially earn. Your goal is to get as much traffic as possible to your websites. It’s not easy, as you are competing with millions of other websites out there, but if you do it right, the reward is passive income.

As I have said earlier in my other post, I am in this for the long haul (5-10 years). If by the five years I can bring in revenue that can replace my yearly salary working for a corporation, then it was all worth the time and effort into building this internet business of mine. I know of many people that have done just that, and if they can do it, I can.
