The Illusion Of Prosperity and Wealth – Government and Wall Street Wants Your Money

illusion of wealth

Interesting how jobs are being loss at record pace which means people do not have money to spend or live, but when you watch certain U.S and Canadian government reports…they try to paint a rosy picture.

With news that Government and their media agencies put out you really have to read between the lines, basically the governments job is not to spread panic, so they always don’t tell their citizens the truth. The government whether it is United States or Canada are basically trying to create “The Illusion of Prosperity and Wealth” so that you will think to yourself…”Oh it’s not that bad, the ecomony seems to be getting better” and then you loosen your purse strings or open your wallet to spend on discretionary items (luxury items, things you do not really need).

What you should be doing is paying down debt and saving money, which of course what the government don’t want you to do, because they need people to spend to get out of this economic recession. But there is a catch 22 here, and that is jobs are being loss at record pace. At my place of employment we have lost over 20 workers in the last 6 months.

Without jobs, people will be poorer, can’t afford to spend and go into survival mode, thus perpetuating the decline in spending which may send this recession into a depression according to a lot of economist out there. I recall the U.S government saying that it will be a “jobless recovery”, my question is who is the idiot that coined that term…again without jobs people don’t spend and people will drain more money from the government which the government (United States) doesn’t have because they are in debt over their eye balls.

As for Wall Street, they are taking the government bail out money…which in actually is the American tax payers money, and pumping up the stock market, which makes this the greatest pump and dump scheme and suckers rally. Again, this is to create an illusion of wealth and prosperity. So in conclusion, when you read the newspapers and watch the news about government economic reports and positive upbeat outlook from Wall Street or Bay Street (Canada), you need to step back and read between the lines.
