If you have listened to Ben Bernake talk about the state of the U.S economy and about inflation last week, he basically shrugged it off. What Ben and the U.S government is doing is essentially lying to the American people…saying close your eyes there is no inflation, it is all in your heads. All part of tricking the american public into thinking that the economy is better than it actually is. The truth is that the economy is extremely fragile and inflation is out there and may put a stop into this fake economic recovery that was stimulated by printing more and more U.S dollars, sending the U.S dollar down and increasing the federal debt pushing it closer to 15 trillion.
Last year around autumn, August-September 2010 period Gerald Celente’s Trends Journal group predicted that the youth of the world will unite and protest against their governments, because food prices, oil prices and general living expenses are going up while their are no jobs and wages aren’t going up in-line with inflation.
Since then student’s in the U.K protested because the U.K government raised school tuition fees over 200%. As recent as last month Tunisia, Egypt, Libya and Yemen have protested and some have gotten extremely violent.
America has been saving 2% of every dollar they make (GDP), while China saves 35% of their GDP that is why they have a surplus and the U.S is 14 trillion dollars in debt.
It’s so easy for the U.S politicians to blame foreigners cause they look different and are in a foreign land, however America’s problem is self created. It’s always easier to look externally than look at yourself and come to terms with your mistakes…people do it all the time and it seems politicians are no different.
A greater number of Canadians feel that the economy is getting worse than last year. Now 20% up from 14% last year feel this way.
Some of the top concerns of Canadians are having enough money to retire, and improving personal finance. They feel that the Canadian economy maybe getting a little bit better by the government reports but at home things are getting worse, goods are more expensive (inflation), jobs are hard to find and people are still being laid off. So to the average Canadian, their personal finance situation really don’t feel any better.
Recent unemployment report had a spike in the amount of Americans filing for unemployment benefits, which basically tells everyone out there that the jobs picture isn’t getting any better. These people had probably just been let go because they were only employed during the Christmas season.
Gerald Celente tells it like it is, reads between the lines of American mainstream media. Here are his predictions for the new year 2011…if he is right it is going to be a really rough year.
The U.S puts out reports that the recession ended last year sometime, and the Federal Reserve say that they are going to do more “Quantitative Easing” to further stimulate the economy. The stock market responds by sending the Dow Jones Industrial Average well over 11,000. All this in my personal opinion is hog wash, it is just more U.S Government propaganda to make things seem a lot better than they are.
Jim Rogers a famous investor who’ve seen lots ofs up and downs in the world thinks the American Government is feeding the people of the United States lots of false information. Jim Rogers think that the American economy is going to get worse not better as recent job loss increases and there is going to be a lot of pain for American citizens for the coming few years. The politicians and banking executives are to blame, however they are just passing the buck and deflecting the blame.

Got back from my vacation to different parts of California last week, and I am finding it very difficult to get back into the groove of things when it comes to work at the office. I guess it is because my vacation in California was so relaxing and fun. While I was there, I didn’t even think about all the stupid things that are happening at my job right now…like slow sales, dumb ass management and the possibility of lay offs. My wife and I just enjoyed ourselves which is after all the purpose of a vacation, and i guess I did just that.
Dave Brook is not a scrooge, but while visiting his friend in another town last week he sure felt like one. The 43-year-old sales manager didn’t like the idea of dining at a fancy steakhouse, where a sirloin can set you back $40. Instead, Brook suggested a less expensive place to his friend. After the dinner there was a feeling of awkwardness between Dave and his friend.
A lot of people are suffering and struggling through the worse recession since the last great depression. All over the United States, Canada and abroad people are losing jobs, homes and wondering where their next meal is coming from. Below is just one example of how the lives of the struggling are unfolding.
