In my last post of “What Stocks I am Looking At To Buy In Recent Downturn” I specified a few stocks. They are Sandisk, Blue Coat Systems, Coach, Amazon and the Nasdaq ETF. If you look at the charts for these companies the only one that did well was Amazon (AMZN), in my last post I mentioned getting in at $76, it is now at $95.24. Made about $1200 on AMZN options, got out early but “Profit is Profit.”

In this post called ”When To Buy A Stock or Option – Market Timing – Part 3″, I am going to mainly focus on short-term trading, as in Part 1 and Part 2 the subject of long-term and intermediate term timing was covered.
One thing to note, that the reference to “timing” here is a indication of entering a “long position” or buying a stock or option in anticipation the price would go up.

This is an addenum to Discount Broker Review #1 – TD WaterHouse Web Broker Trading Platform is Outdated.
In addition to the TD Web Broker platform being outdated, for investors who want to trade options there is no way for them to set “Sell Stop” or “Stop Loss” orders.

As someone who only have been very actively trading for the last 7-8 months, it is nice to be able to chat online with veteran traders, and get feedback and answer questions about timing trades and trading strategies. The two professional turned home traders I am talking about have well over 10 years experience each actively trading from home each and every day and they have turned out very successful.

When trading in the financial markets, whether its stocks, options, foreign exchange or commodities knowing when to buy and sell, obviously is the key to profiting and also the key to avoiding losses. To know when to buy and sell financial instruments, you must as a trader or investor look at charts and know how to read the charts using “technical analysis.”

When I was on vacation in southern California, I bought an Acer Aspire 3680-2682 laptop at a Walmart in Colton, California. It was actually on my list of things to buy while I was on vacation, simply because there was no way to get a brand new laptop anywhere in Toronto for less than $460.00 CAD plus 14 percent GST and PST (provincial tax).

Over the last month the stock market has taken a big down turn. All stock market indexes are down starting from roughly the second or third week of November, and recently just had a small bounce upwards.
Stock prices have followed and many of the stocks that I have been tracking has lost
up to 35 percent of their value of their stock price. To be transparent there are a few stocks that I am holding that has taken a big hit. All sectors have been hit, technology, financial and retail as well.

I’ve had over 5 years of experience dabbling in buying stocks and trading options in the intermediate time frame (1 month to 2 years) before I read Toni Turner’s book called “A Beginner’s Guide to Day Trading Online.” Believe it or not, I have not read many stock investing books while dabbling in stock and options over the years until only recently. I read “A Beginner’s Guide to Day Trading Online,” at the beginning of this year about 2 months before I started trading full-time .

This post is about a recent inkjet cartridge order I placed with 123inkjets.com. A few weeks ago I placed an order for 12 replacement Epson ink cartridges which were the remanufactured kind. Basically I ordered 3 of each color (Black, Magenta, Yellow and Blue), and I chose the non-OEM remanufactured ink cartridges because:
A. They are recycled, so I am helping the environment somewhat.Â

While chatting with one of my trading mentors in our trading chat room, he mentioned about a restaurant he went to in downtown Toronto. He mentioned he had a wonderful dinner there, and it got me interested in this restaurant. So I asked him about it.
He then proceeded to send me a link through the chat program. I clicked on a link and it took me to BlogTO.com and the restaurant review page of the restaurant my friend was talking about.
